What to Expect
After contacting Wellness Corner NJ, we take as much time as you need to answer all of your questions about our center, our staff, any of our programs and any other information you need before you embark on this health & wellness journey with us.
When you schedule your initial appointment, we will provide you with new patient paperwork. Our staff can either email or fax this to you, or you can fill it out online through the link on our website. We require a credit card to hold your appointment; therefore we will contact you to get your credit card number in advance of your appointment. Your card will not be charged at the time your appointment is set. We keep the card on file and you can pay after your first visit with this card or use a different payment method.
We ask that you complete the new patient paperwork and return it back to us at least two days prior to your appointment. That will give us ample time to create an account in our computer system and have the paperwork for the doctor to review before your appointment, avoiding any delays during your appointment time.
You will complete a comprehensive form about every aspect of your health. You will not feel rushed and will have plenty of time to communicate your needs and concerns to the doctor. You will spend 45 minutes to 1 hour with Dr. Jeanty, to review your in-depth history, which will allow her to obtain a clear picture of your health, your symptoms, your environment, and genetic predispositions. She will discuss what has worked and what hasn’t worked in the past, diet and lifestyle and old labs. She will also conduct a thorough health assessment and physical examination. She will set about identifying the potential root cause(s) of your problems. She will also go over all the medications and supplements that you are taking. Your willingness to be fully open and honest during this time is very critical, the more honest you are, the better we are able to help you. You will not be judged, criticized or ridiculed for anything you share with our doctor or staff. Dr. Jeanty will give you her clinical impressions of your case, and how she would like to approach your specific situation. While sometimes a comprehensive treatment plan depends on lab results, however, depending on the severity of your symptoms, she usually will get you started on a regimen to get you feeling better right away and may include dietary modifications, lifestyle factors, herbs and or other supplements. After your first visit, Dr. Jeanty will order labs, review and analyze your case and develop a personalized plan of care to be discussed at your follow up visit.
Follow up visits?
During your second visit, Dr. Jeanty will review your personalized and customized wellness plan, which has been created to address your specific health concerns and needs. We believe our relationship with you is a partnership, so it is imperative that you are committed and in agreement with every step involved in your care. During this second visit, all of your questions and concerns will be addressed. Subsequent visits will be scheduled weekly or bi-weekly. These visits are the most important aspect of your treatment; we will be able to monitor your progress and modify your therapies as necessary to ensure your progression towards improved health is going as quickly and smoothly as possible. The frequency and length of these visits will depend on your case and the treatments required. As your health improves, the frequency of follow-ups will decrease.
Does the center take insurance?
We do not bill insurance companies; we do not accept insurance or Medicare. Some insurance carriers may cover the lab tests. Insurance may not cover the services we provide. It is up to each patient to determine whether their insurance plan provides reimbursement for consultations and supplements. We have a phlebotomist on site that can do insurance verification prior to blood being drawn. Our fees are fair and our clinic accepts cash, check, and all major credit cards. We require a credit card to hold your appointment.
What are the costs?
The new patient consultation is an assessment of your overall health and does cover a second visit fee but not subsequent follow-ups. Payment is due at the time of your first appointment. The fee for a New Patient Consult is $300 and this fee also includes your follow up visit. Please note that laboratory fees or prescribed supplements are not included in the appointment fee.
What are the late arrivals/cancellation policies?
The office has a 48-hour cancellation policy. In consideration to other patients and to our staff, we would kindly appreciate 48 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. You will be charged for the full appointment fee for any missed appointments or for any appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice. Patients who arrive more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled appointments will have their appointments canceled and the patient will be responsible for the full cost of their visit. You will not be given credit for a future appointment.
Missed appointments take time away from our staff helping other patients. As a courtesy to all of our patients, we like to be considerate of their time. Appointment length will not be extended due to late arrival.
